Off by one night? Chillwari catches it

The night before a trip, that feeling you forgot to book something. Chillwari looks over the dates first.

A notice on the trip page: this stay falls outside your travel dates, with the wrong night marked on the calendar row
Chillwari flags the wrong night before you leave.

Read one confirmation email at a time and each one looks right. The mismatch sits between two emails. Chillwari lines them up and reads them together.

The night we paid for and didn't sleep in

On the 26th we were still at home, half packed. The hotel in Nikko called that evening to ask if we were still coming.

I wanted to disappear. Our flight into Tokyo left the next morning, the 27th. I had booked the room for the night before it.

The second half cost more. We landed on the 27th with no room for that night. One night of money gone, and we spent our first evening finding a bed.

Going back through the confirmations later, the dates sat there in plain text. Check in July 26, check out July 27. Flight lands July 27. Side by side it takes a second to spot. On the day I booked it, I missed it.

You book the flight on one site in March and the room on another site in May. That's how two dates drift apart.

Dates go in when you log the expense

Tap once for check in and check out, or for the day you fly.

Log the flight and the room in Chillwari, and tap the dates while you're there. Or screenshot the confirmation and hand it to Receipteller, which reads the dates out of the email for you.

With the dates in place, Chillwari watches for four things.

Chillwari names the day worth a second look.

A second notice: two stays booked for the same night, overlapping on the calendar
Two rooms on the same night show up the same way.

You can wave it off. Some people book the airport hotel a night early on purpose, or keep a room for the day and leave the luggage in it. Tap Don't show this again and Chillwari drops it.

You see the bookings you're part of

Part of your group joins on day four. Some of them book their own rooms. Plenty of bookings have nothing to do with you.

Chillwari shows you the ones you're splitting. Someone else's room is theirs to check.

The dates on a shared night might not line up. The booking could be fine and the split wrong, with the room shared to the wrong person. Worth opening either way.

Catch it at home, not at the front desk

Booking a room one day off is a small mistake. Finding out at the front desk costs you the money and the evening.

Line the confirmations up in one place and you'll spot the mismatch. That's the job Chillwari takes on. Go and enjoy the trip.

Check the dates once before you fly.

Hand your flight and hotel confirmations to Receipteller, and Chillwari keeps an eye on the dates.
